Do we want to have the new National classes (- the 63kg) along with triple elimination at Atlantics?

Mirrored left and right hand classes too?

I think we should do this left and right. This is why i voted yes if both classes are the same! if not leave it as is.

I agree Mark. It's a good move to mirror

That's adding 3 more classes. We don't have the numbers to support 3 more classes.

Wouldn't hurt to try it this year and go from there

Last time we were in NB there were only 16 left entries. That's just over 2 per class. We can't justify 7 clalles with those numbers. If we had 50 left that would be a different story.

Would be great to mirror, but i think we are lacking numbers.

We could run the right classes minus the 63 and 105+ class and then every 2nd left class. That would make the left classes 77, 95, 95+

That's a huge starting left class under 169
If not mirrored, I'd prefer to keep it 165 which is mirrored with BOTA to better gauge that class

165-169 Who and how many would that actually add?

It's competitive right now. The extra 4lbs allows the top guys more of an advantage (Hachey, Bourque, Purdy)

Since the major weight class changes have happened at the National level it makes sense to continue with the changes at not only Atlantics but provincials too.
My thoughts are right hand 70, 77, 86, 95 and 95+ (five classes)
Left hand 77, 95, 95+ (three classes) (Although I agree it is a big starting weight)
This should hopefully eliminate the days of 2-3 guys in a class.
Would you do 2 ladies classes?

I agree wwith you Mark on the classes. We can 't have a 70 kg left class as there will only be 1 or 2 people in in. Also the left classes use to be 176 over and under.
I' like to do 2 ladies classes but we need to see consistant numbers to justify it.

For Provincials we'll have to redo the plates on big trophies. We'll. Have to wait for next year.

Are we going to mimic these at provincials and Atlantis this year? What's everyone's opinion?

Lets wait until next year when we have time to discuss it.

If this topic is still up for debate I would have to agree with Will. personally I enter these competitions so that I can pull against Will,Rej and others our size, nothing disappoints me more then entering this competition left hand in hopes to face Will and Rej and being beat out by two guys who are far too large for me. I still lose, but at least I'm facing the guys that I will be facing in my future as I progress.
