I think you are much faster Ryan.....Sylvio is stronger ( and smarter ) well smarter armwrestler.. ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) The matches will be good to watch but Sylvio in my opinion will squeeze out the wins. I think you will get frustrated and give up like you do against Mark...You will win the first 1-2 then done like dinner... I think we should start side betting.....

well faster yeah for sure, but that means nothing against smarts, as i sit right now i don't believe i would beat him but i have a full two months from now on to go and if i really train and get to practice i think i'll get the wins.. i would love to do some side betting

Scott's website www.armsportvideos is about the best tool you can use for your match ups with Sylvio...find the matches where he has lost and see if you can pull the same way... As far as training ..you will not get alot stronger in a couple months but you can build up stamina and figure out ways to out think him..

i know when he starts off he starts with a very lose grip kinda feels like he has a weak hand.. and i've yet to figure out why but that favors me, and i know i can make the first move.. which means i have to concentrate on getting hand control instead of going for a one big smash, cause that just won't work against him

Loose gripp so he can get over on the go.I grip him hard and hit fast. He has lost to me before this way cause he slipped out in the losing position. Also keep driving his hand down do not let him have a high hand. Ryan I think you will do fine I'v beat him and you have beat me on a few lucky occasion's.Should be close though.

I think you are going to break on his hand when you try to hit for control. I don'believe you are ready to match power with him.
Most importantly, he is old!!!! And us old guys are crustier than you understand.
Sylvio 5-1

come on, let's hear some more thoughts on this match, anyone and everyone.. tell why you think i'll win or lose that way i'll have an even better idea what to work on. However i still do believe i can win this, I do realize it will be incredibly hard if I do, but it's definetly possible. And old guys being crustier??? ... haha i don't even know how to take that, i kinda feel sick haha

You have to make sure that you don't lose your hand.

good to know, i'm finally working on my hand and wrist unlike before when i would have some time and think about it maybe do some hand work and levers.. maybe once every 3 months or so haha, horrible for sure but i can already notice the difference in strength after just a couple weeks, i'm affraid i'm drawing ever so closely to be #1 under 200 ![:o](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/shocked.png) haha

Getting your hand strong is one thing, being able to use it to your advantage is another. If you noticed Mark Crouse at the Spring Ranking tournament he was losing his hand. However in the last one he used it to take control. Same hand different outcomes.

Ryan, I am starting to get the impression from you that you have placed yourself above many of your competitors that you have recent victories over. Its nice of you to believe in yourself so strongly, it will help you suceed in the end. Your improvements are obvious and yes you are getting stronger. I think that 2007 will be very confusing to you. Untill you develop more dimensions, you will need to smash people to the pad in a toproll. I do not know whom, but half the guys you flashed to the pad last year will stop your hit this season and force you to armwrestle them. This will be greatly to your advantage as you will gain valuable experience and gradually improve your skills.
On the Old Guy topic, I would like to say that the young guys have their work cut out for them in these challenges. Could their be an "Old Guy" sweep of the young bloods? Now there is a good betting topic.

Well i appreciate your thoughts Tim, I do have very high confidence in myself and if i lose against sylvio so be it, but i'm willing to try. So Tim to you or anyone else i ever beat in the past 3 years i give much respect to, and to those of you who I have victories over, and think they can stop my hit or beat me?? well Tim all i can say is bring it on, i'm up for any challenge.

I respect your confidence in yourself Ryan. Train hard and keep improving. Watch out for us "old guys". Were unpredictable as hell when the viagra kicks in.

Jason, I have to ask. Which old dinasor are you talking about.lol

Dave, Jason is Sylvio's training partner. I think he is just rubbing a little salt in the wound, so to speak.
It would be inconcievable that anyone would refer to me as a dinasaur or a fossil. It had to be Sylvio for certain. He has gray hair even.

You better watch the "old" thing around Dave. He's no spring chicken and may be a little sensitive about it.
